Bass Masters was formed in the Summer of 2009 and started trading in September that year.
The foundation of the business then was purely guiding and coaching; showing experienced bait and fly fisherman the tactics and skills required to successfully target bass on plugs and soft plastics. It soon became apparent that our guiding customers wanted to use the same kit as our guides, so we introduced a small range of kit which has grown over the last 2 seasons quite considerably.
Although bass is our first love, we do have just as much fun catching all kinds of other fish on lures, including mullet, cod, pollack, wrasse, garfish, mackerel, flatties, pouting, coal fish, gurnard – even launce.
In fact – there is not a fish that you couldn’t possibly catch, whether you are targeting them or not (we know some might argue, but we like to keep an open mind on these matters . . . .LOL)

Hi Mike,
The guys up your end swear by the Z Claw Original, for the surface work, but I love the new Ripple Popper and the new Tackle House Int which is slightly below! all the colours will do it to be honest, but if i was to pick one for the first time then I will stick close to a Mackerel or a Mullet colour.
Sub-Surface I would not be with out the Feed Shallow…!!! All the colours will do it here no problem, as the action is just deadly!!Slightly deeper I would recommend the Rudra, again the action is just deadly, Pollock seem to love these also, so when the bass is’nt biting pollock normally will!
Kind Regards
Nathan

Hi bass-masters could you give me some advice about using xorus, z claws for surface fishing. I know they work really well but i am not sure if i am using them proper, also what rod action do you need to use while walking the dog [ confused + frustrated ] and can they be used dawn, dusk, middle of the day but only on calm days. What features do i need to fish perhaps i am fishing the wrong ground.
HELP PLEASE.

Hi, one of the best ways is just walking the dog, so to speak, which consist of twitch and pause, try and get a slow rhythm going on as this will help getting the perfect appearance.
Rod position is normally kept low.
Conditions shouldn’t be to rough, (big seas and strong winds) calm to a slight sea is perfect!
Time to use them, is anytime, morning, afternoon and night time.
